GCSE, AS and A level information - summer 2021

Visit our examinations page for more details.

In order to give teachers time to mark and evaluate the work of students as a result of the implementation of Centre Assessment Grades for secondary schools in England in 2021, we will not require students to be in school after Friday 28th May. The students will be providing evidence for their grades up until this date.

The Academy has, however, planned for additional school based and remote provision up until the statutory school leaving date on Friday 25th June 2021; this includes safeguarding procedures and protocols to ensure the most vulnerable students are catered for and we can support our community during these unusual times.

Gavin Williamson, the Education Secretary, confirmed in the House of Commons  that GCSE, AS and A-level exams will not go ahead this year. He said he wished 'to use a form of teacher assessment grades, with training and support provided to ensure these are awarded fairly and consistently across the country'.

It is extremely important that you continue to engage with your lessons.

For our students studying for vocational qualifications, you should attend public examinations as planned. Again, it is extremely important you continue to engage with your lessons.

To all of our students, we would like to stress we continue to be here for you, to help you and support you. Please do speak to us if you are feeling anxious or in need of additional support.
