TCA’s Year 8 netball team travelled to Ely to compete in a district netball tournament.

There was strong opposition from the other Cambridgeshire schools at the tournament, which took place on Wednesday, December 5.

But TCA never gave up and were rewarded for their hard efforts with their last fixtures against the two teams from Cromwell Community College.

Coach Amy Anderson said: “There were great goals from shooters Abi Pittam (captain), Evie Wenn, Saule Meksraite and Angelika Stute. Abi Roach-Smith played a superb role in the centre, providing a smooth link between the defence of Kaya Kilby and attack of Claire Freear and Makenzie Coleman on the wings.

“Player’s players from the tournament were Angelika Stute & Evie Wenn. Special thanks to Roach-Smith and Freear for stepping in at the last minute.

“It was a lovely afternoon with some great netball on show.”
