Four Thomas Clarkson Academy students did us proud by representing the Academy in a table tennis competition at Witchford Village College.

Jack Ovendale, Daniel Higgs, Jack Gibson and Sam Knott represented TCA in a mixture of singles and doubles against teams from Soham, Witchford and other areas in the District Round of the Key Stage 3 table tennis competition last month.

Head of PE, Ben Smith, said: “A really strong showing from our four boys meant they finished ahead of the field and qualified for the County Championships in June, which is fanastic.

“Special mention must go to Sam Bothamley, who travelled with the team and fulfilled his role as umpire with a great deal of maturity.

“Sam commanded respect from the players and many of the staff present were full of praise for him. He was a superb ambassador for Thomas Clarkson Academy.”
