Sixth Form Enrichment Challenge

This week sees the launch of our Sixth Form Enrichment Challenge, which aims to support our students’ personal development alongside their academic progress.

Over the course of four weeks, students are required to complete three challenges a week.

The challenges are divided into three categories – skills, health and fitness, and academic.

Staff are offering a wide range of enrichment activities, including yoga, debating, Microsoft Education centre, book club, cooking, academic writing, photography and drawing.

Students have been able to choose their activities and set their own challenges, and have produced an impressive range of their own ideas such as sign language, boxing and horse riding.

Head of Sixth Form Miss Hornby said: “I am incredibly impressed with the post-16 students and their engagement with online lessons. The feedback has been incredibly positive. “Enrichment is more important now than ever and I wanted to maintain the community feel we have in our Sixth Form. I'm very excited to see the progress students make with this challenge.”

Students will use OneNote to evidence their progress with photos, fitness apps, written notes and Microsoft badges.

All Sixth Formers who successfully complete the four-week challenge will be entered into a prize draw to win Amazon vouchers. Also up for grabs are two Microsoft Go laptops with keyboards, mice and stylus pen worth over £500.

We look forward to seeing how our students get on!
