Students at Thomas Clarkson Academy have begun writing to penfriends in Normandy, France.

Around 80 students from Years 8 and 9 have written letters introducing themselves in French, in response to messages they received from pupils at a school in Normandy.

Modern Foreign Languages teacher Mr Woodruff said: “It is hoped that this initial communication will lead on to Skype exchanges, and even exchange visits involving groups from both schools.”
