TCA student bakers Jasmine Tura, Weronika Libich, Alicja Krasiel, Charlotte Payne and their competitors from Kettering Science Academy, Brooke Weston Academy, and  Corby Business Academy were challenged to make an afternoon tea during the five hour long grand final on July 16th.

CBA Restaurant Manager Chris Lapsley, who organises the competition said: "The standard of entries this year has been incredibly high.

"Everyone took note of how tough the competition was last year and upped their game even further.

"The final has been a fantastic event and it's great to see so many talented young bakers here.

"They have all worked very hard and they all deserved to be in the final.

"We'd like to congratulate the students from Kettering Science Academy for winning the competition - they were very worthy winners."

The team made a Baby Shower Tea as their final entry. The bakers had been selected to go through toteh final after a series of baking challenges held at TCA over the past few weeks.

Restaurant Manager Maddy Austen who has been training the team along with Ann Trett said: “he girls did a fantastic job through the whole of the bake off. The standard of their baking was excellent throughout and on the day.

Staff mentioned how organised and well behaved they all were, a real asset to the school.”
