A group of enthusiastic Year 10 and Year 11 students recently participated in the ELSA Next Generation Discover Believe Come Program, a series of interactive workshops led by local businesses. This initiative provided students with a unique opportunity to develop essential employability skills, including team building, communication, and problem-solving.
Year 10 students with an interest in the Health Care sector attended the Health and Care Career Expo in Peterborough. The Expo provided students with valuable insights into the wide array of jobs available within the NHS, extending far beyond the clinical setting.
Year 9 students at Thomas Clarkson Academy had an enriching experience on Tuesday as an expert trainer from Talk The Talk conducted an engaging and dynamic workshop aimed at enhancing their communication skills. The "Talk About Communication" workshop provided a creative learning environment where students developed their speaking and listening abilities.

On 6th February, 50 Year 11 students from our school had the incredible opportunity to attend the Poetry Live! event at Peterborough's New Theatre. This enriching experience allowed them to engage with several renowned poets featured in the AQA GCSE Power and Conflict Anthology of Poetry, a key component of the Year 10 and 11 curriculum.
What a day it was! On Monday, Year 7 students from Thomas Clarkson Academy (TCA) and The Wisbech Academy (TWA) had the incredible experience of witnessing top-tier musicians perform works by great composers such as Bach, Vivaldi, Satie, Eilish, and the ever-popular Saint-Saëns’ "Carnival of the Animals."
In a groundbreaking initiative, a group of dedicated students have taken on the role of Wellbeing Ambassadors to support their peers with mental health challenges. These ambassadors will serve as the student voice for mental health within the school, participating in wellbeing lunch clubs and raising awareness about the importance of mental health.

Year 12 Chemistry and Biology students recently had the chance to expand their academic and career horizons at the University of Lincoln's ‘Be Inspired: Alternatives to Medicine Bio Day’ discovery event. This initiative is part of the university's ongoing efforts to provide students with a taste of higher education through expertly curated workshops.
We are thrilled to announce that Toby, a Year 7 student at TCA, has taken a leading role in an original Christmas short movie titled "I Believe." This unique film is a delightful blend of a feel-good Christmas movie, "Blair Witch Project," and "X Files." Toby shines as one of the three lead characters, Lucas, and stars alongside his sister Lily, who plays his on-screen sister, Louise.
Thomas Clarkson Academy (TCA) and The Wisbech Academy (TWA) Year 7 students recently had a fantastic opportunity to participate in the Royal Opera's 'Everybody Sing' initiative. Held in TCA's theatre, this exciting session brought Mozart’s beloved opera, ‘The Magic Flute,’ directly to over 300 children, creating an unforgettable musical adventure.
Almost 200 high achievers from Year 9, 10, and 11 at Thomas Clarkson Academy recently achieved remarkable success in the Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge. This international competition tests problem-solving skills and computational thinking abilities through a series of engaging and challenging tasks. Our students approached these tasks with great enthusiasm and determination, demonstrating their ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
